Chess is a game of strategy. so you need to work out 2-3 moves out ahead of time, the better you get the more moves you will work out. and the more possibility’s of moves.

Ok First thing to do is relax. As it is with all games moment u are not relaxed your game will go south. I don’t care if its a video game, board game, card game, any game that u start to panic you lose control and will make the mistakes.

Practice the more you play the better you get, but learn from your mistakes. Don’t get caught up on any one piece either I’ve seen good chess players that if they lose the queen they cant focus on the game.

Learn from your mistakes and try to avoid it again.

Losing is part of the game if your learned something from the lose you actually are the winner. Losing teaches you something were if you win u win that is it.

So stay calm, relax and I’m sure you will become a better player .

Chess is different from many games because there is a recorded history of games.

This is a good way to learn, by reading the annotations attached to the moves, and trying to understand why they were made. Annotations often look deep into the position and are an excellent way to learn. You can do this by buying a book, or finding a chess site with recent games.

Another good way to get better is to use the software but select a level of play where you can actually win a game or three. If you haven’t won a single game against the computer on the lowest level, you may need to get your chess back to basics.

Once you can win a few, turn up the difficulty slowly.

Chessmaster, on its highest level is often too hard for real world Grandmasters so don’t be worried too much.

    Good luck
